It’s National Park Week!
Howdy! Did you know about National Park Week 2019 in Bryce Canyon? It’s happening right now, April 20th – April 28th, throughout the whole country. Because of this, now is a great time to visit Bryce Canyon National Park and celebrate!
What is National Park Week?
President Donald Trump has proclaimed April 20 through April 28, 2019 as National Park Week. In his Presidential Proclamation, he said, “I encourage all Americans to celebrate by visiting our national parks and learning more about the natural, cultural, and historical heritage that belongs to each and every citizen of the United States of America.”
National Park Week is a special week designated for the observance and enjoyment of our beautiful National Parks. During this week, there are special events in different Parks. On the first day of National Park Week 2019 in Bryce Canyon, April 20th, all park entrance fees were waived – FREE day at the Park!
Events
You might have already missed the free day, but never fear, there’s more to National Park Week! Lots of events will be happening this week. There will be “Hoodoo Geology Talks” as well as “Rim Walks” throughout the week.
On Saturday, April 27th, there will be a “Telescopes at Visitor Center” stargazing/astronomy activity. All of these events are free, so be sure to consider them in your Bryce Canyon adventure plans! For more info on National Park Week in Bryce Canyon, check out the Bryce Canyon Events Calendar.
